Tasks
-Provide quality control reviews of work developed by others -Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of the design work -Participating in and presenting at meetings including those requiring occasional travel -Develop task and deliverable list with associated hours estimate and schedule to support business development activities as it relates to renewable and decentralized energy projects -Provide mentorship to other engineers early in their career or in the specifics related to energy storage -Supporting projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning -Perform engineering calculations to support and direct construction deliverables (specifications, reports, drawings) -Lead by example in engineering execution functioning as technical lead projects -Support the department’s strategic initiatives by participating in industry events and committees -Work with Project Managers on developing design schedules and budgets for engineering work activities -Support department manager in advancing the culture of technical excellence and accountability

What You Bring
-Proficient in power management controls and system design -Proficient with the NEC, as well as related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855 -Deep knowledge of utility practices, industry codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, UL etc.). -Experience with other software in the industry such as NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, Helioscope, WindPRO, -BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering -Minimum four (4) years of experience acting as the lead engineer on a project preferred -MV AC Collection System Design Experience -Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity -Highly Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Excel desired -Experience must include design and integration of utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems -12+ years of relevant experience preferred -Special design experience: floating PV, fuel cells, agrivoltaics, super capacitors, etc. -Experience with system simulation tools such as Homer Pro, Homer Grid, ETAP, etc. -Field construction and commissioning experience -Capable of system financial estimation (Capex, Opex), PPA recommendation and calculating ROI -BA/BS in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish.
