Yard Associate - Full Time

Overview

Safely load and deliver building materials per orders while providing customer service.

Tasks

-Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values. -Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns. -Operate equipment according to specification and in alignment with designated safety standards. If under 18 years of age: May NOT operate any equipment beyond a hand truck / dolly. -Properly secure loads to avoid any damages or safety issues. -Record all information on each picking ticket and turn in a signed picking ticket. -Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc. -Advise management of any damage material or backordered item. -Load orders/building delivery materials according to the specifications on the delivery ticket and company standard. -Provide exceptional customer service and team support.

What You Bring

-Strong team and customer service skills. -Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 - 70 lbs. of force regularly. If under 18 the employee must obtain help to lift over 30 pounds and must be accomplished without equipment. -Track record of dependability. -Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision. -Strong process/procedure orientation. -Effective written and verbal communication/comprehension skills. -Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment. -Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
