Tasks
As an analyst, you will be responsible for conducting transmission and grid planning studies across various Indian states and other countries. Additionally, you will lead initiatives focused on planning and integrating emerging clean energy technologies into distribution networks. The position will also have sole responsibility for research and development related to commercial grid applications. -Prepare technical reports, presentations, and planning documents for internal and external stakeholders. -Conduct transmission and grid planning studies for Indian states and other countries. -Stay updated with national and international grid codes, regulations, and best practices in transmission and distribution planning. -Support distribution network planning to enable the integration of emerging clean energy technologies such as electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and distributed generation. -Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize grid expansion plans that enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. -Conduct comprehensive transmission and grid planning studies for various Indian states and other countries. -Drive R&D initiatives related to commercial grid use cases and advanced grid technologies. -Develop and maintain power system models for load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies. -Develop and evaluate scenarios for renewable energy integration, including solar, wind, and hybrid systems, into existing grid infrastructure. -Utilize advanced grid simulation and modeling tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerFactory, ETAP, DigSILENT) for system analysis and planning. -Conduct research and development (R&D) on commercial grid use cases and emerging technologies to support future-ready power systems. -Shape a first-of-its-kind AI + clean energy platform. -Analyze power system performance, including load flow, short-circuit, and stability assessments.

-A team player with good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. -Proficiency with power systems engineering concepts across both transmission and distribution systems. -At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in R&D of transmission and distribution use cases in energy sector. -Agile, action oriented and a quick learner. -Startup DNA → bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, love for fast iteration, and flexible and growth mindset. -BE/ME in the relevant field (Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Power Systems) -Proficiency on grid simulation software like PSSE, ETAP or Gridlab-D -Familiarity with various energy regulatory environments/jurisdictions and their impacts on grid planning and operations -Excellent time management skills and the ability to assume leadership roles when necessary. -Awareness of power systems modelling paradigms across both transmission and distribution—e.g. capacity expansion, production cost, hosting capacity, integrated volt/var control, stability assessment, dynamics, transient, balanced and multi-phase power flow, etc.
