Preconstruction Intern

Overview

Assist preconstruction team with docs, bids, estimating, and coordination.

Tasks

-Help prepare and distribute bid packages, track responses, and compile comparison spreadsheets. -Support the solicitation and qualification of subcontractors and vendors. -Coordinate preconstruction meetings and document meeting notes for team distribution. -Maintain accurate records of bids, proposals, and contract documentation. -Assist in assembling budgets, schedules, and proposals for upcoming projects. -Participate in learning opportunities across departments to gain a full understanding of the development process from concept through construction. -Review plans and specifications to assist in quantity takeoffs and cost estimating. -Assist the Preconstruction Team with organizing bid invitations, drawing sets, and project documentation.

What You Bring

-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. -Availability to work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. -Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a plus. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Analytical mindset and eagerness to learn the technical and financial aspects of construction.
