Ensure compliance with Australian standards (AS/NZS), utility requirements, and safety regulations.
Productivity tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance your productivity and efficiency.
Perform and/or supervise detailed engineering calculations for conductors, structures, foundations and clearances.
Interface with clients, project managers, construction teams, and regulatory authorities.
Conduct design risk assessments and constructability reviews.
Develop and review design documentation, drawings, specifications and reports.
Lead and/or supervise the design of high voltage overhead transmission lines (132kV–500kV).
Support tendering, cost estimation and technical proposal development.

Strong communication, leadership and client management skills.
Strong knowledge of relevant standards (AS/NZS 7000, AS 1170, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Experience working with major Australian utilities or transmission operators.
Familiarity with construction methodologies.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligible for Engineers Australia registration.
Experience with design software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, and GIS tools.
Experience in EPC or utility-side projects highly regarded.
Knowledge of environmental and planning approval processes.
Proven experience in Australian or similar international power networks.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in overhead transmission line design.
