Tasks

-Work closely with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure competitive and compliant submissions. -Coordinate with procurement to source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. -Lead and mentor Assistant Estimators, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. -Work on high-profile, nationally significant projects that shape the UK’s infrastructure. -Contribute to both successful bid handovers and post-tender reviews for continuous improvement. -Take ownership of risk identification, cash flow considerations, and tender governance. -Support clients with early-stage pricing advice and value-engineering solutions. -Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for major tenders and frameworks. -Analyse designs and suggest cost-effective alternatives to optimise project delivery.

What You Bring

Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take the next step in your career? -Proficiency with estimating software packages and Microsoft Excel. -Commercial awareness of various forms of contract (NEC, JCT, etc.). -Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. -Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and methodologies.
