FIELD LABORER

Overview

Perform general labor tasks for precast installation, operating tools, lifts, and learning welding.

Tasks

-Take work direction from installation crew Foreman and Field Superintendent -Cleaning and preparing Footings for layout -Operates equipment in a safe and responsible manner, specifically concrete saws -Completes general construction labor tasks necessary to install precast members -Handle rigging from the crane to hook to the precast members -Uses materials and supplies in an efficient manner -Follows company safety procedures and policies

What You Bring

-Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements -OSHA 10 Hour certification -Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task -Moderate to high risk of safety precautions -Ability to obtain membership to local laborers union -Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day -Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently -2+ Years of Construction or manual labor experience preferred -Must be willing to travel and work in all types of weather conditions. Ability to travel and be away from home -Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally -Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently -Possession of valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle -High School Diploma or GED -General math skills and ability to read tape measure and blueprint -Ability to work outside year-round -Ability to work with others and always maintain professional conduct -General knowledge of construction practices -Must learn how to grout and weld -Moderate to high exposure to jobsite environment -Ability to work from heights (ladders, flatbed trailers, aerial equipment) safely -Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related)
