Tasks

-Monitor inventory levels, review stock settings, and help reduce rejects/chargebacks. -Prepare and evaluate quotes, ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies. -Prepare reports, perform value analysis studies, and support procurement audits. -Contribute to cross-functional projects such as product development or cost-reduction initiatives. -Track supplier performance using quarterly scorecards; collect and analyze metrics to ensure compliance. -Assist in developing short- and long-term purchasing strategies to optimize supply base, reduce costs, and improve service levels. -Ensure supplier documentation (NDAs, quality/operations surveys) is accurate and up to date. -Complete purchase transactions and confirm all deliverables are met. -Source suppliers, evaluate alternatives, and recommend substitutes when products are unavailable. -Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures for purchasing. -Participate in daily cross-functional meetings; resolve escalated supplier issues and ensure uninterrupted parts flow. -Build and maintain collaborative supplier relationships; participate in joint continuous improvement initiatives. -Arrange logistics, monitor shipments, and ensure on-time delivery of goods. -Review specifications, quality, quantity, and delivery requirements for moderately complex categories.
