Tasks

-Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to the CSA/SMP and electrical and instrumentation discipline such as installation and testing of electrical systems, lighting systems, high voltage equipment and grounding, and DCS systems. -System start up, turnover , client walkdown and permit authority inspection coordination. -Coordinate and monitor the interfaces for SMP/electrical and instrumentation data exchange to support the construction automation plan and the project controls program requirements at the jobsite. -Direct the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services. -Plan and recommend SMPE/electrical and instrumentation procedures to be implemented by Field Supervision to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications -Coordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedules. -Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. -Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans. -Develop and manage the SMP/electrical and instrumentation construction quality program. -Establish an design/field engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Area Engineer, including agreement on SMPE/electrical and instrumentation engineering deliverables and overall construction application configuration management. -Initiates requisitions for field purchases. -Responsible for quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting and forecasting for SMP/electrical and instrumentation discipline. -Temporary works design and interface coordination with subcontractor and project engineering. -Review material receiving reports from project deliverable and the subcontractor to assure delivery of correct electrical and instrumentation materials. -Prepares construction drawings and sketches.

What You Bring

-Experience managing technical services subcontracts. -Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication. -Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken. -Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. -Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience -Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast. -Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner. -Construction experience assigned to a construction site. -Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. -Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing. -Overall construction knowledge of the permanent building construction and interface coordination. -Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools which are used on Bechtel projects. -Collaborates well in a team environment. Good leadership skills & able to provide technical guidance for testing, startup, and operations activities. -Good Knowledge and Understanding of engineering systems, applications of startup and operations; and previous experience in Commissioning roles. -Experience in the testing or maintenance of LNG systems including inverters, motors, medium voltage switchgear, transformers and power distribution systems including calibration of the associated protective relaying. -Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures. -Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change.
