The Role

Overview

Oversee subcontract docs, cost control, and reporting on infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Produce Subcontract documentation, including terms, prices, and programme negotiations. -Maximise value and profit, applying ‘Doing the right thing’ principles. -Assist estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.. -Maintain a ‘Cost Plan,’ tracking and forecasting expenditure. -Interpret and evaluate internal cost system expenditure reports. -Produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR). -Manage timely contract changes, including Compensation Event Quotations. -Manage subcontract works packages, interim assessments, and change management. -Attend progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors. -Liaise with operational and engineering teams to maintain site record standards. -Issue commercial notices to Clients and Subcontractors as per the contract. -Submit and agree monthly applications with the Client.

What You Bring

-Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. -Experience in Civil Engineering (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation). -Proficient in Excel, Word, CEMAR, and Oracle systems. -CSCS qualification (as appropriate). -Experience with NEC3/4 Option C. -Exposure to large or multiple smaller schemes. -Professional qualification (MCIOB or MRICS, or working towards it). -Strong understanding of standard forms of contract. -Main contract experience.
