Tasks

-Providing leadership to our water treatment professionals. -Identifying and supporting the win of strategic pursuits in collaboration with local Business Center Practice Leaders, Account Managers, and business developers, -Regularly engage with clients. -Leverage your understanding of industry drivers, market trends, and legislative requirements in the US Pacific to support and grow our water treatment portfolio. -Acting as a Liaison between local / regional teams and the North American Sector Leader and practice community to leverage both their and the sector's technical skills locally, -Actively participate in industry associations -Reinforcing our brand as a leader in water treatment through active participation in industry organizations, thought leadership, and communication with strategic clients, and -Help recruit, retain, and inspire a team of water treatment professionals, at multiple levels, with exceptional technical skills. -Think strategically about the technologies, regulations, range of market, business and/or economic issues likely to impact the sector. Uses this information to develop strategies for sector development and growth. -Contribute to our North America Water Treatment Team to implement our strategy across the continent and bring services and specialists from the broader Stantec organization to our clients. -Work closely with sector leaders, regional growth teams, project developers, and the Stantec Institute for Water Technology and Policy to leverage internal resources and match them up with projects and pursuits where they can bring value. -Engage in delivery of water projects as a subject matter expert, leveraging your expertise, industry best practices, and new or innovative technologies. -Identify how technology changes affect our clients and our business. -Champions innovative ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports innovation. Leads the implementation of emerging technologies with a focus on potential challenges and appropriate courses of action. -Collaborate across the region to share knowledge and resources.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution. Master’s or PhD degree, preferred. -Demonstrated understanding of the US Pacific market and industry trends with established working relationships with pertinent organizations. -Ability to lead and inspire teams with a strong commitment to meeting goals and upholding Stantec’s values and policies. -Strong drinking water treatment technical skills and knowledge of regulations -Located in the US Pacific, with ability to travel throughout North America. -Proven experience in client communications and technical proposal writing. -Licensed Professional Engineer. -15 years of directly relevant experience. -Experienced and visible industry leader in delivering complex water treatment projects with a high degree of technical proficiency.
