The Role

Overview

Lead control & instrumentation engineering for oil, gas, petrochemical & energy transition projects.

Tasks

-Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals. -When delegated, assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks. -Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers. -Performs work using Standard Application Programs and appropriate 2-D and 3-D engineering tools. -Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders. -Performs or assists in the performance of problem analysis and original design. -Assists in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provides input for their performance evaluations. -Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups. -Prepares and reviews bid analyses and makes recommendation. -Prepares letters to vendors and clients.

What You Bring

-Experience in executing Middle Eastern projects, brownfield experience and familiarity with Aramco standards and specifications is highly desirable. -At least 10 years of related experience in Petrochemical, Energy Transition or Oil and Gas industry. -Extensive knowledge of applicable industry / regulatory codes and standards, and design -High standard of oral and written communication, and use of MSOffice applications. -Extensive knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines. -Knowledge of instrumentation covering both primary and final elements -Knowledge of typical Engineering Department Procedures, Design Guides, appropriate Standard Computer Applications and administrative practices. -systems discipline in a project or staff group. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. -Experience of Safety Instrumented Functions, HAZOP and LOPA. Certification as a Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) or equivalent is desirable -Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, materials and software and methods of application for C&I discipline. -Knowledge of control and safety systems, including the management of a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) and the BPCS, SIS, FGS and PLCs -A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license in an appropriate engineering discipline from a recognized licensing board. -Pre-FEED and FEED experiences in related types projects -Good knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
