-Conduct field surveys to incorporate existing conditions into construction documents. -Ensure compliance with the company’s health & safety policies and quality management systems. -Coordinate work with other disciplines involved in the project. -Prepare deliverables such as presentation materials, design criteria, calculations, studies, drawings, technical specifications, equipment selections and cost estimates. -Provide technical follow‑up during construction phase: review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, perform inspections, and manage client requests. -Perform tasks within deadlines and budgets, with autonomy.
-Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit. -Work effectively within a project team, with strong communication and client‑interface skills. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. -Excellent written and oral English. -A minimum of 4 years’ experience designing heavy mechanical equipment for hydroelectric facilities. -Over 6 years’ experience in heavy mechanical equipment design for hydroelectric facilities. -Some knowledge of the French language. -Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. -Member in good standing of a Provincial Order of Engineers (or eligible for immediate registration). -Experience working in multidisciplinary internal teams.
