The Role

Overview

Assemble and test EV powertrain and eVTOL prototype components in a hands‑on R&D team.

Tasks

You’ll work closely with engineers and technicians to assemble, fit, and test prototype systems and subassemblies across both mechanical and electrical domains. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role within a dynamic R&D environment, where you’ll be directly contributing to prototype build, rig assembly, and vehicle integration projects. -Follow engineering drawings, build manuals, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate builds. -Support continuous improvement and prototype development activities. -Assist in the installation and fitting of electrical and mechanical subassemblies. -Help prepare components for testing and validation, including rig and prototype setups. -Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve build or integration issues. -Support the build and assembly of EV powertrain and propulsion components. -Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-focused workshop environment. -Perform basic wiring, terminations, and harness routing under supervision.

What You Bring

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Build Technician or recent engineering graduate (1–2 years’ experience) to join a world-class team working on next-generation EV powertrains and propulsion systems for the future of electric flight. -Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills. -Genuine interest in electric propulsion, EV systems, and eVTOL technology. -1–2 years’ experience in a hands-on build, assembly, or technician role within automotive, EV, aerospace, or motorsport environments - graduates with relevant practical experience also encouraged to apply. -Confident using hand tools, workshop equipment, and measurement tools. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or wiring diagrams. -British Citizenship is essential. -Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. -Understanding of HV safety practices beneficial (training provided if needed).
