Tasks

-Advise GSA with sound management advice regarding all services to be performed -Take all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact to the project schedule, budget, and approved design. -Prepares IGEs and reviews schedules -Maintains effective communication with project stakeholders and facilitates meetings -Manages the inspections of physical work performance and installations of materials/components -Ensures quality and safety standards are met -Assists the government in providing direction and control of design and construction phase activities -Reviews drawings as design reviewers and changes to contract documents -Take the initiative and act to promptly resolve conflicts, mitigate circumstances that could lead to claims, and keep GSA advised of any potential disputes and project delays -Coordinates technical and administrative activities for the project -Reviews pay applications -Develop and controls budgets and funding strategies

What You Bring

-Reads, interprets, and understands the construction contract plans and specifications -Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of architecture, engineering, and/or construction -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a discipline related to the Design and/or Construction industries. -OSHA 30-hour construction safety training preferred -Experience on historic masonry projects is a plus -Knowledge of construction means and methods to include historic preservation and exterior masonry restoration -Familiarity with federal and local government office building projects -Experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefing clients and management personnel -Understand and fully comply with the principles of Federal contracting, including contract administration in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM), and Public Buildings Services acquisition policy -Ability to perform and evaluate engineering economic analyses, evaluate proper systems to meet scope requirements, and verify the adequacy of all building systems -Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing -Ability to interpret Architectural/Engineering plans and specifications -Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) preferred -Basic knowledge of building science fundamentals -Specific experience on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity -Ability to maintain a valid driver's license -Knowledge of local and national codes -Knowledge of commonly utilized construction management software (Kahua, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Primavera, etc.) -Follow the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) - Construction Management Standards of Practice -Familiarity with modern construction products (quality, uses, and applications)
