The Role

Overview

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for telecom, wireless, utility, and UPS markets.

Tasks

-Perform the installation of transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment -Perform installations of backup generator systems -Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems -Read electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics. -Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance, and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements -Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service -Adheres to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy

What You Bring

-Demonstrates honesty and integrity in work and relationships -Knowledge of local and national electrical code -Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening. -Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for building & grounds and wire mold -Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, and testing lamp -Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions -Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis -Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment -Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear & control, and UPS industries -Knowledge of electrical principles, applications, techniques, procedures, code, and equipment -Licensed or the ability to be licensed in: IA, MN, ND, SD, MT, WY, WI, NE KS and MO -Ability to work at various heights -Ability to maintain a valid driver's license -Demonstrates proper use of material handling equipment -Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectives -Demonstrates innovation/creativity in work
