Tasks

To monitor the activities of procurement, execute strategies, coordinate with vendors, negotiate contracts, analyze costs, manage logistics and find ways to reduce procurement costs. -Follow all relevant company and department policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. -Reviewing purchase orders to ensure they are accurate and complete. -Ensure the quality of products or services by monitoring suppliers’ performance and making recommendations for improvement. -Review contracts for accuracy and legality, especially regarding insurance coverage in case of damage or loss -Review bids from suppliers to determine which company will best meet the company’s needs. -Supervise employees’ changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking best practices into account, changes in standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans. -Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that they have all materials needed. -Supervise the talent pipeline through effective utilization of employee development programs, mentoring programs, career planning, and succession planning. -Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. -Review bids to ensure they meet all legal requirements, including being within budget and complying with government regulations. -Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional networks. -Track all expenditures throughout the lifecycle of a project to ensure it stays within budget. -Supervise & evaluate employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned tasks and provide development opportunities to maximize the potential and engagement of employees. -Monitor the progress of projects by communicating with managers about issues that may arise during construction or manufacturing processes. -Discuss performance goals at the start of the year with manager and ensure that the goals are monitored and achieved during the year. -Inspect goods that have been delivered to ensure they are in good condition and that they match the specifications in the order form. -Take ownership of your learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the strategic Sourcing manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means beyond just training. -Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and cont­­­­­­rols to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

-Bachelor’s Degree Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration -5 - 6 years of relevant experience in Procurement Management -Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these effectively. -Supply Chain Management Certification
