The Role

Overview

Industrial Electrician maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in manufacturing.

Tasks

-Stay current with technology trends in electrical control, AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial lighting. -Plan and prioritize work efficiently while adhering to all city, state, and federal electrical codes. -Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and machinery; document findings and schedule maintenance. -Inspect, assemble, and install electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment (motors, regulators, controllers, generators, switchgear). -Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. -Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and start up AC/DC drives, HMIs, PLCs, DCS, and other control devices with minimal engineering assistance. -Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies. -Document all electrical changes with updated drawings. -Work collaboratively with plant management and team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in all weather conditions. -Two years of formal technical training in electrical and instrumentation crafts. -Respirator and hearing protection required in some areas. -Strong hearing, vision, color perception, and manual dexterity; ability to perform close work and analyze blueprints, charts, and diagrams. -Computer skills required. -High School Diploma required. -PLC Expertise: Proficient in Allen-Bradley, ABB, and Siemens PLCs; troubleshoot system issues using PLCs. -Must supply basic hand tools, including electrical meters. -AutoCAD experience a plus. -Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (multi-craft skills required). -Robotics: Experience with FANUC robotics preferred. -Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs; tolerate heights and extreme temperatures. -5–10 years of Industrial Electrician/E&I experience.
