The Role
Overview
Assist project planning team on scheduling, analysis, and documentation for rail projects.

Tasks
-Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. -Conduct research and assist in preparing written documents. -Assist Principal Planning manager and team with Planning, analysis and other procedural improvements. -Participate in providing project status updates as required. -Support the development and integration of documentation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department and the organization. -Assist Planning and Project Management team to develop dynamic dashboards and KPIs. -Coordinate meetings and facilitate effective communication among project team members. -Participate in the execution of development projects. -Collect and collate data to track performance. -Prepare or file documents related to the project. -Develop skills and knowledge in a real-world mega project environment.

What You Bring
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. -Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite. -Ability to work with complex data and ensure precision in reporting. -Previous co-op/internship experience is a plus. -Fluent in English, both written and verbal. -Analytical Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills. -Completion of the second or third year of an undergraduate degree, or currently pursuing a master’s degree, is preferred. -Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Demonstrated interest in learning advanced scheduling tools, including Primavera P6 and Tilos -Ability to interpret production data and provide actionable insights. -Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams. -The successful candidate should be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Business, or a related field. -Strong data analysis capabilities and knowledge of Power BI considered an asset -Junior or Senior standing or enrolled in a Master’s program. -Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
