Lab Technician (Part-time)

Overview

Perform sample prep, equipment maintenance, and QA tasks in a food testing lab.

Tasks

-Prepare general lab paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, and maintaining bench sheets and lab logbooks. -Perform sample preparation tasks including aliquoting samples, spiking and tracing samples, preparing reagents, bottling samples, and setting up liquid racks. -Wash lab glassware to prepare for the next day's samples and stock lab supplies. -Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis. -Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper labeling of samples.

What You Bring

-Associate's degree is nice to have. -High School Diploma is required. -Experience in laboratory operations and sample preparation. -Understanding of quality control, food safety, and food science. -Experience in quality assurance, microbiology, food chemistry, and environmental monitoring. -For new graduates, achievements in school through extracurriculars, internships, research, or jobs are desirable. -Knowledge of biology and chemistry. -Consistent job tenure of at least 1 year is preferred.
