Tasks
-Supervise, train, and manage the work of direct reports by setting performance standards, coaching and providing informal feedback, and holding formal performance evaluations. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and field activity. -Review remodeling plans to ensure energy efficiency and proper construction methods. -Direct facility repairs, installations, small construction remodeling, grounds improvement, and maintenance projects including maintaining records of materials used and inventory status. -Responsible for overseeing the effective management, planning, organizing, and scheduling of various craft workers. -Ensure that facilities comply with state, federal and local laws, -Supervise emergency repair jobs including inspecting work, ensuring work order requests are completed timely, and reporting completion progress and status to the Site Director. -Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. -Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist. -Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights.

What You Bring
-4-year degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related discipline. -Sometimes operates a computer or tablet and other office machinery, such as a calculator and phone. -Highly computer literate with experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). -Heavy Work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. -Reaching – Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction for various lengths of time. -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Grasping – Needs to apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm regularly. -In-depth understanding of Facilities Management processes and procedures. -Highly organized and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -ordinances, regulations, and codes pertaining to the building industry such as DCBC, NFPA, TJC, OSHA and EPA. -Solid knowledge of HVAC, utilities, electrical & plumbing processes and procedures. -Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. -Fiscal management and budgeting experience including preparing reporting and management of budgets. -10 years of related work experience or a combination of education and work experience equaling 6 years or greater. -Walking - The person in this position needs to frequently move about the jobsite. -Skilled at building effective and impactful relationships with management staff, stakeholders, and employees. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Advanced knowledge of DCBC, NFPA, TJC, OSHA and EPA. -Effective written and verbal communications.
