Overview
Manage commercial aspects of infrastructure projects from pre‑award to close‑out.

Tasks
-Undertaking final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority, project plan and within agreed timescales. -Providing post-contract commercial management and any pre-contract activity within the project delivery team’s scope of work providing specialist commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks. -Participating in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers. -Management disciplines including value management and programme development and monitoring, ensuring delivery against key milestone targets. -Identifying all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges. -Advising on the issue of certificates of practical completion and ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed. -Producing appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions. Make sure commercial records are retained and archived properly upon close out. -Providing specialist commercial advise on administration of the terms of the building contract. -Identifying and advise on all commercial risk/claim events. -Preparing financial reports, manage cost reporting of all allocated projects, including cost forecasting, anticipated final cost, cost of work done -Providing cost control and reporting services during the contract.

What You Bring
-Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred (or other commercially related discipline). -NEC form of contract experience essential. -Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration. -NEC PM accreditation (desired). -Proven experience working large scale infrastructure projects. -Excellent interpersonal skills in creating, managing and maintaining relationships, able to converse to clients and peers to director level. -Knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
