Tasks

The purpose of this job is to work with the Director of Operations Training and Certification and the Manager of Certification for the planning, scheduling and record keeping of required Service Delivery training. Participate with Service Delivery Team in creating and administering training. Direction of day-to-day supervision of train and engine crews as required. -Storage and organizing certification and training records as required by the 49CFR. -Work with trainers to develop trainings, training aids, and assist in organization classroom. -Identifying training needs and assist in the formulation and implementation of programs as required. -Notification of required vision and hearing testing; assist withs scheduling distribution of required forms. -Assist in planning and scheduling Service Delivery employees for required trainings. -Monitor certification expiration. -Delivery of Service Delivery Trainings when needed.. -Attend and participate in all assigned training, specifically safety and security related. -Securing classroom space for Service Delivery trainings. -Work with SD training staff to meet required training required per regulations. -Print and distribute certification cards to employees. -Assist SD Training Team in developing and administering Simulator Training. -Administer collective bargaining agreements as required through regular job performance. -Scheduling and documentation of Simulator Training. -Oversee the supervision of assigned personnel, which includes hiring, work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. -Comply and ensure compliance of direct reports with all related safety rules and procedures and report all hazards as required. -Storage and organizing training records; this will include working with the Safety and Training Departments to ensure proper record keeping. -Assist the Service Delivery department with the responsibility of selection, assign, evaluation and scheduling the trainings of newly hired Engineers, Assistant Conductors and promoted Conductors while ensuring compliance with KCS equal employment policies. -Assist in the SD development of training and testing. -Responsible for the direct day-to-day supervision of train and engine crews as well as other employees required by operating conditions.

What You Bring

Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination. -Strong overall facility with computer software and hardware. -Team orientation and practice in the collaborative development of projects, trainings and fulfillment materials. -Preferred combination of position-related training, education and experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. -Requires strong interpersonal skills. -Requires excellent verbal and written skills and be able to communicate successfully with a variety of disciplines and levels including both internal and external staff. -State and Federal Driver’s license checks; distribution of required forms. -Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills. -Must have skills in MS Office package, including Outlook; preference will be given to applicant with strong computer software and hardware skills and experience. -Proficiency in generating work products in MS Office. -Must have a satisfactory work record.
