The Role

Overview

Manage QC processes for DoD construction projects, ensuring compliance, inspections, and reporting.

Tasks

-Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents -Coordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems -Inspect work conformance to contract and design documents -Coordinate and document completion inspection process -Use Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner. -Implement the Three Phase Control System -Develop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports -Review subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirements -Document all tests and results -Coaches and mentors less experienced team members -Assure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsite -Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documents -Proactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions -Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents -Verify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists
