Tasks

-Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total harness air vehicle design. -Implement Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection. -Implement Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes based on signal type. -Model harness products, including 3-D modeling, space claims, routing, integration concepts, drawings, schematics, and documentation. -Design conceptual wiring diagrams and release detailed wiring diagrams. -Conduct issue diagnosis, root cause analysis, and repairs. -Evaluate existing electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation. -Perform feasibility studies for new technical requirements or projects. -Conduct electrical integration and select wires/cables to meet aircraft requirements. -Identify functional gaps in existing systems and determine solutions. -Participate in concurrent engineering for harness installation, and support aircraft integration and testing on-site. -Design electrical diagrams, block diagrams, and interface control documents. -Design, build, and test electrical components and systems.

What You Bring

-PREFERRED: 7+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for aviation. -Experience within the aircraft industry (DOD and/or Commercial). -Proficiency with electronic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analysis. -Proficient in AS50881 (Wiring Aerospace Vehicle). -Minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. -Proficiency in Microsoft software. -Knowledge in aerospace engineering, systems integration, satellite communication, and airworthiness. -Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD drafting products. -Experience with first article testing of newly designed components. -Ability to create/modify code for testing/debugging new systems.
