The Role

Overview

Assist branch manager in daily operations, staff supervision, inventory, safety, and customer service.

Tasks

-Work with the Branch Manager and branch personnel to drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize all aspects of branch performance -Participate in inventory control and advise Branch Manager of problems to ensure customer demand is met -Establish and maintain a relationship with key customers -Conduct/oversee inventory control procedures and warehouse housekeeping practices -Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% -Assist Branch Manager with monitoring branch operating expenses and implement corrective actions -Implement branch security and safety standards by conducting facility and asset inspections and take corrective actions to support controls -Maintain branch facility, warehouse, and office equipment -Schedule branch staff to ensure daily coverage -Deal effectively with daily customer service issues -May fill in for other branch and warehouse roles and make deliveries as needed -Develop, train, and supervise associates -Greet and assist call-in and walk-in customers with the selection and delivery of products and services

-Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required -Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51% -4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred -Travels to offsite locations - Occasionally – up to 20% -Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Occasionally – up to 20% -Up to 50 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% -High School or GED - Required -Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51% -Ability to manage P&Ls preferred -Leadership experience preferred -Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations -2+ years of related experience -Up to 25 pounds - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Recognize personnel problems and take corrective actions as needed -Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Valid Driver’s License -Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Previous sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B industry experience preferred -Ability to develop and coach a team -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20% -Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills -Sales and service oriented, self-motivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership and customer service skills -Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP system such as Solar Eclipse
