Overview

Fabricate and assemble signs, frames, and structures in a metal shop.

Tasks

-Stick built ground signs with steel centerpole. -Manage national accounts for Fortune 500 companies -Maintain, perform, or notify management of routine maintenance on work machines and tools to ensure optimal performance. -Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay updated on company policies and best practices. -Maintain flexibility in work hours, including availability for overtime as needed by management. -Perform necessary housekeeping tasks, including cleaning up production debris and properly storing materials and equipment. -Weld Plates onto steel structure for pylon head center poles. -In the course of the job activity, it may be necessary at times to push/pull, climb, stoop, kneel, stand, or crawl when it is necessary to load or unload pipe, signs, or other materials, install/repair a new or an existing sign or structure. -Provides effective leadership to department team members. -Ensure the care, maintenance, and security of all company resources, tools, and equipment. -Create logical cut sheets from engineering drawings. -Complete necessary documentation, including completion slips, material listings, timecards, and requisition forms.

What You Bring

-Large Dimensional Pan signs with internal angle structure and seams. -Working knowledge of how to use Chop Saws. -High school or GED equivalent. -Working knowledge of how to use Extrusion Saw. -Extruded Wall signs. -Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. -Working knowledge of how to use Plasma Cutter. -Radiused signs kerf cutting of extrusion or angle. -Basic mechanical and construction knowledge, including an understanding of metals, wood, plastic, blueprints, and fasteners. -Ability to stand for extended periods while operating machines and tools. -Working knowledge of how to use drill and tap. -Able to read a manufacturing order and form materials into required shapes and dimensions for sign production. -Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. -Extruded Ground signs with Centerpoles. -Demonstrates willingness to adhere to plant wide safety rules. -Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and equipment as required. -Glued ACM V grooved returns to angles. -Stick built Wall signs- Alum or steel. -Working knowledge of how to use Press Brake. -Working knowledge of how to use Iron Worker. -Small-Medium sized Dimensional Pan signs with internal angle Structure (no larger than sheet of aluminum). -High attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all work. -Adequate mathematical skills for fabrication tasks. -Working knowledge of how to use Angle Notcher. -Floor engineer signs with limited information on drawings. -Understands how to set controls on Mig Spool Gun Welder. -Working knowledge of how to use Folding Table. -Strong team philosophy, including demonstrating ability and desire to help develop team members. -Working knowledge of how to use Shear. -Can meet or exceed estimates and reasonable expectations for output from Leads and Management. -Understands all functionalities and uses handhelds for these functions. -Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. -Interpret Engineering type drawings and understands welding symbols. -Must be at least 18 years old. -1-4 years in production environment making similar type structures and/or 1-2 years fabricating within the industry. -Working knowledge on how to use hand tools typically used in fabrication (grinders, cordless drills, jig saws). -Working knowledge on how to use Stud Gun.
