-Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Bentley’s global privacy and AI compliance programs, policies, and documentation. -Provide day-to-day legal counsel on global privacy, data protection, and digital regulation matters. -Stay informed of global developments in data protection, AI, and digital compliance to proactively advise the business. -Mentor and guide other team members with the scope to move into a people management role as the team grows to support the business. -Contribute to awareness and training initiatives that promote a culture of responsible data use across the company. -Draft and negotiate privacy, data protection, security, and AI-related terms in commercial contracts and disclosures. -Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including Legal, Product, Marketing, and IT, to advise on new and emerging digital regulations affecting software and cloud services.
-In-house or hybrid (private + in-house) experience preferred. -Highly responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. -Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across legal and business teams. -Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with the confidence to represent Bentley in matters relating to data privacy, AI, and security. -CIPP or other privacy-specific certifications a plus. -Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud services, marketing and analytics laws, and regulations. -Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy and security (experience range is a guide and we will consider strong candidates with less or more experience ). -Proven expertise in EU and US data protection law and familiarity with global compliance frameworks.
