Overview
Utilize GIS for engineering design, data collection, map editing, and compliance analysis.

Tasks
-Perform preliminary reviews of development plans and interface with customers. -Perform final quality checks of GIS versioned data before posting it to the GIS. -Complete engineering designs and cost estimates using GIS for various main and service work. -Represent Engineering at internal and external project meetings as required. -Perform pipeline safety compliance-related GIS analysis as directed. -Collect construction activity 'as-built' data using a mobile GPS collection device in the field to create permanent asset records. -Conduct field visits to job sites to determine requirements for service and main work. -Edit map features and their corresponding attribute data in the GIS. -Distribute and update maps for other departments within the company as requested. -Distribute and approve requests for the acquisition and release of easements and the vacation of rights-of-way. -Implement and train Engineering staff on new work processes for the GIS mapping system.

What You Bring
-Valid driver's license. -Experience with ArcGIS Pro is preferred. -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals. -Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoscience, Cartography, GIS, or a related field. -GIS certificate required if the bachelor's degree is in a non-related field. -1-3 years of GIS experience. -Exposure to ArcGIS software. -Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. -Ability to lead by example with strong ethics and integrity. -Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. -Experience with Trimble units is preferred.
