Deputy Project Leader - Columbus, OH

Overview

Assist in managing and executing large data center electronic security projects.

Tasks

-Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects. -Prepare monthly reports analyzing the budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower. -Responsible for the overall financial management of the project(s). -Responsible for on-time project completion. -Ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to. -Identify and understand the speech of another person. -Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM). -Ordering materials, tools, and equipment. -Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. -Preparing price proposals and change orders. -Coordination with the general contractor and other trades. -Identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures, quality improvement and incorporating best practices.

What You Bring

-Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor. -Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling Experience and proficiency (or equivalent). -Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. -Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. -BS (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5-7 years of experience. -Ability and Willingness to Travel to project locations as needed. -Experience with CPM Scheduling -Sitting for extended periods of time. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. -Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others. -Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. -Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF. -Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M. -Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects. -Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver. -Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. -Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals. -Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations. -Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
