Tasks
Driving excellent standards in health, safety, risk management, and control of work to meet Yorkshire Water’s Safety Policy. You’ll play a key role in keeping health and safety front and centre, helping us aim for top tier performance. You’ll also work closely with stakeholders and customers to hit our regulatory targets. If you’ve got the drive and energy to help Yorkshire Water stand out in the industry, we’d love to hear from you. -Identifying and escalating health and safety issues during audits, with authority to stop work if necessary. -Working as part of the Infrastructure team to support wider team objectives through strong individual performance. -Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. -Providing technical support and training based on audit findings. -Reporting accidents, hazards, near misses, and dangerous occurrences within required timescales. -Auditing site resources, plant, and equipment to support contractor payment claims.

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance. -Full, valid UK driving licence -Confident influencing and negotiation skills. -Operational experience working on the clean water network (desirable) -Experience in a commercially focused and/or regulated environment (desirable). -On site technical assurance and auditing . -Ability to plan and prioritise work to deliver results effectively. -Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally. -Excellent written and verbal communication.
