Tasks

-Create content community marking tools. -Evaluate needs of general public and community groups. -Develop, coordinate, and implementing a variety of informational, educational, and outreach activities to community groups, citizens, other agencies, and Agency staff -Analyzes and evaluates assigned program's operations and administrative procedures to determine applicability, relevance, and effectiveness to program's goals and objectives; recommending modifications, additions, and/or deletions to policies, procedures, and/or activities as necessary -Monitors and analyzes a variety of legal issuances, financial reports, accounting records/systems, industry laws and regulations, etc. pertaining to assigned program area; summarizing, interpreting, and disseminating relevant information -Participates in the development, implementation and administration of assigned program operations and activities -Assist with photographing or videotaping events; edit video or create slideshows for posting on social media -Train staff on the use of department databases and other software programs. -Establishes, maintains, and monitors complex record keeping, filing, and/or tracking systems, to enhance the effectiveness of assigned work functions -Receives functional guidance from higher level management/executive staff -Formalize a community engagement strategy, ensure implementation in an expeditious manner and facilitate the outreach process. -Assist with the publication of the Agency's internal and external newsletter -Create and post content for social media outreach efforts. -Assist with the creation and distribution of press releases for departments across the Agency -Provide front line support to answer inquiries received from the public. -Provide staff support for outreach and community meetings to maximize resident and community stakeholder involvement -Acts as a resource to clients, Agency staff, other agencies/organizations regarding assigned program/project policies, procedures, and operational activities and the practical application/interpretation of same -Coordinate with community organizations to ensure we are communicating effectively with underrepresented populations -Researches and analyzes a variety of complex data, information, materials, and documentation from various sources to determine most effective course of actions for assigned projects -Utilize any and all appropriate social media resources to enhance communication with all stakeholders and continuously evaluating its effectiveness -Monitor programs to fit regulations and handle communications with representatives of the community. -Design publications using graphic design software -Provides technical and directional guidance and training to other staff -Represent organization in a variety of public settings to increase awareness. -Create customized outreach campaigns for Agency programs and efforts. -Develops and coordinates the preparation of requests for proposals, grant applications, compiling necessary data, proofreading and verifying documents and content, coordinating work flow and monitoring timelines. -Receives direct supervision from the department Director -Develop prospective programs for the organization and overseeing them from inception to fruition. -Develop internal community-wide event/meetings calendar. -Assist in planning and organizing Agency sponsored events, including developing strategies for media outreach to publicize the Agency's programs and accomplishments
