Lead design and delivery of complex data centre projects in ANZ

Tasks

-Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day project matters, building and maintaining positive collaborative relationships -Manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects across their entire lifecycle, including planning, design verification, tendering, contract administration, and risk management -Coordinate with core design disciplines and specialist inputs to ensure cohesive final designs -Lead development and monitoring of design programmes in association with Technical and Discipline Leads, managing information requirements, assumptions, and reporting -Support the Principal Designer in planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety during pre-construction phases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations -Coordinate and agree definitions of package scope and technical delivery, managing project delivery by controlling change, budgets, and resources -Champion and advocate for emerging design services, promoting standardisation of processes and best practices -Oversee the production of project documentation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines and budgets -Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept through to construction and handover stages -Lead project commercial activities including invoicing, project reporting, and managing dashboards -Chair internal and external design meetings, facilitating communication and coordination between stakeholders

What You Bring

-Strong commercial and client-facing skills -Previous experience as a Design Lead and/or Project Manager on major complex data centres -Background in working with contractors for complex packages, including workshops, multi-disciplinary reviews, and problem-solving -Strong communication and presentation skills -Expertise in managing scope and programme, delivering high-quality technical deliverables, and achieving financial success for projects -Recognised tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management -Significant experience delivering complex mission-critical projects, preferably data centres -Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams, including coordination with external sub-consultants -Professional chartership or membership of relevant professional institutions (highly regarded)
