  • Maintains constant contact with the adjusters to manage and control Worker’s Compensation claims and automobile claims
  • Conducts safety training classes and new hire orientation to company employees.
  • Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
  • Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
  • Maintains an Accident Log and remits monthly reports to Corporate and Branch management
  • Handles Worker’s Compensation claims, writes reports and submits to the insurance carrier
  • Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
  • Help create and sustain safer, stronger work environments where everyone can thrive.
  • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
  • Writes automobile accident reports, consults with management for disposition and/or referral to the insurance carrier and compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies

  • Must be comfortable spending time in field and visiting job sites.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • 2+ years of related experience in Safety within the landscape or construction industry
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Strong time management skills
