The Role

Overview

Lead APOC & IT applications division to optimize airport operations and resources.

Tasks

-Develops and controls the annual operating expenditure (opex) and capital expenditure (capex) budgets to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT applications and is within plan. -Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and vision for the APOC & IT applications, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Team Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of airport IT operations professionals, including passenger flow managers, security flow managers, aircraft flow managers, and other key roles within the APOC & IT applications. Operational Efficiency: Oversee the operational efficiency of the APOC & IT applications, ensuring that airport resources are optimally allocated to minimize delays and disruptions while enhancing passenger satisfaction. Collaboration: Foster strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines, security agencies, airport personnel, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective coordination of APOC operations. Decision-Making: Guide the APOC & IT applications team in making real-time decisions to manage passenger flows, security queues, and aircraft movements, with a focus on meeting service level agreements and regulatory standards. Data Utilization: Leverage integrated plans, predictive models, CCTV, and other relevant data sources to make informed decisions and implement proactive measures that enhance operational performance. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, such as security lanes, personnel, and aircraft stands, to accommodate fluctuating demand and unexpected scenarios. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the APOC & IT applications, implementing best practices, technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance operational resilience and efficiency. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and disruptions within the airport operations and develop strategies to mitigate their impact on passenger experience and overall operations. Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the APOC & IT applications , regularly monitoring and reporting on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement. Leadership Development: Develop and mentor APOC & IT applications team members, fostering their growth, enhancing their skills, and promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration. -Directs the development of sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management. -Manage the performance of business operations including setting goals, establishing metrics, and continually working toward process improvement and cost avoidance. -Monitor financial position regularly to address financial deficit/surplus situations in a timely manner. -Determine financial needs of the work unit and submit annual budget proposal, as directed, that is consistent with IT's strategic direction, division needs, and stakeholder expectations. -Manage department operations within established budget resources to provide the best products and services to our customers.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, trends, and forecasts to make informed decisions and recommendations. -Regular user satisfaction surveys or feedback scores for airport IT applications. -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field, Master's degree preferred. -Application response time, latency, and throughput. -Teamwork & Interpersonal influence -Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence. -Average time taken to develop and deploy new airport applications. -In-depth knowledge of airport regulations, security protocols, and aviation industry standards. -Capability Building -Ability to scale airport IT systems to accommodate increased passenger and operational demands. -should be 15 to 20 years of experience, Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in airport operations, with a strong background in managing complex operational environments, including passenger flows, security processes, and aircraft movements. -Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking -Vendor service level adherence (e.g., response time, issue resolution time). -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. -Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT applications to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals. -Experience in implementing technology solutions for operational efficiency is a plus. -Social Awareness
