Tasks
-Ensure the availability and proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). -Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits. -Conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure effective responses to emergencies. -Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment to verify functionality and compliance. -Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards. -Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive safety program specific to the heavy civil tunnel project. -Foster open communication channels for reporting safety concerns and suggestions. -Develop and implement emergency response plans for various potential scenarios. -Maintain accurate records of all safety incidents, ensuring timely reporting and analysis. -Monitor and enforce adherence to safety policies and regulations by all project personnel. -Collaborate with the Safety Director to develop and deliver safety training programs for all project personnel. -Work closely with subcontractors to ensure their safety programs align with project requirements. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards. -Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workshops to reinforce safety awareness. -Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures. -Implement initiatives to enhance the overall safety performance of the project. -Communicate safety expectations, updates, and best practices to all project team members. -Ensure that all workers are adequately trained on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols. -Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
