QC Lab Technician

Overview

Performs QC inspections and lab tests on raw materials, in‑process components, and finished goods.

Tasks

-Assists in identifying and addressing equipment or product quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. -Conducts visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to confirm compliance with established specifications. -Promotes safe laboratory practices and adherence to environmental and safety standards -Prepares materials and documentation for audits and compliance reviews. -Maintains, calibrates, and verifies performance of laboratory and inspection equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy. -Documents and reports test data, inspection results, and non-conformances in accordance with SOPs and QMS requirements. -Performs laboratory tests and measurements (e.g., viscosity, color, adhesion, torque) using equipment such as spectrophotometers, viscometers, and precision measurement tools. -Supports product qualification testing, process validation, and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams.

What You Bring

-Able to read blueprints, product specifications, and chemical labels. -Understanding of inspection methods, sampling plans (AQL), and ISO 9001 requirements. -Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Engineering, Quality) or equivalent experience; technical certifications are an asset. -3-5+ years in quality control, inspection, or lab testing within a manufacturing environment (chemical, ink, adhesives, or industrial products preferred). -Minimum: Associate degree or equivalent technical training with sufficient QA/QC experience. -Comfortable using digital tools for data entry, reporting, and document control. -Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
