Tasks
-Ensure contractor carry out all test as per specification requirement. -Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal. -Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills. -Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate. -Assist in reviews of the Quality Management System. -Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. -Verify that all works are conducted in accordance with approved procedures. -Action and close all complaints. -Reviewing of all Contractors quality and testing, submissions for contract compliance. -Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines. -Report on quality performance at construction meetings. -Ensure all quality records are kept up to date and filed properly. -Leadership and Direction: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals. -Coordinate with the Client’s QA/QC representative for feedback. -Attend and contribute to Contractor’s QA/QC meetings. -Produce an QA/QC audit schedule and undertake audits (of contractor, suppliers, subcontractors if applicable). -Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate. -Conduct training. -Review Contractor’s monthly QA/QC Report. -Monitor close-out of all non-conformances in coordination with engineering staff. -Inspecting sites before construction activities commence. -Review Contractor’s submittals from QA perspective. -External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice. -Construction Management: Supervise others on a construction project, working within established operational systems. -Issue regular guidance and information to engineering staff to ensure key issues are effectively handled. -Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
