Tasks

Working closely with the Director, Coordination & Statutory Valuations and Statutory team, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Valuer to deliver a range of valuation functions to support the statutory, strategic and operational obligations of the Valuer-General. This involves providing specialist advice including undertaking analysis, reviews and approval of valuation reports and recommendations to ensure timely and effective grievance processes are delivered to the community. Responsibilities also include representing the Valuer-General at the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

What You Bring

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. OVG is seeking to recruit a dynamic team player with specialist valuation experience, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for the property industry. -Have a current Driver’s Licence. -Have practised as a land valuer (whether in the service of the Government or privately) for a period (whether continuous or aggregate) of at least 3 years; and -Demonstrated comprehensive experience undertaking valuations of residential, commercial and industrial, urban and rural land for statutory and other purposes. -Be eligible for or have a current Associate or Fellow level Membership of the Australian Property Institute as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV). -Be qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994 and Land Valuers Regulations 2024; -Experience in engaging, communicating, liaising and working with clients and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. -Detailed knowledge of valuation principles, practices and methodologies, relevant government policies and procedures and associated valuation expertise in statutory valuations.
