Inspect, repair, and maintain plant motors and electrical equipment

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Dismantles, cleans, repairs, installs, and maintains motors, generators, circuit breakers, and control systems. -Diagnoses electrical issues using test equipment and wiring diagrams, applying sound troubleshooting methods. -Inspects electrical equipment, checking bearings, lubrication, commutation, and wear to identify repair needs. -Performs electrical and mechanical repairs to cranes, transfer buggies, and plant equipment. -Maintains tools, work areas, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. -Works with repair crews on emergency breakdowns to restore equipment quickly and safely. -Operates machine and power tools, including drill presses, saws, grinders, and welding equipment, to complete repairs. -Performs welding, soldering, cutting, and brazing as required.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor conditions with exposure to grease, dirt, and varying weather. -Ability to read wiring diagrams, interpret technical drawings, and troubleshoot effectively. -Strong attention to safety and ability to work in environments with high voltage electricity and heavy equipment. -18–24 months of experience in electrical maintenance, repair, or a related field. -Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. -Technical knowledge of AC/DC motors, generators, controls, switches, and electrical systems.
