The Role

Overview

Supervises mechanical crews on water/wastewater facility construction projects.

Tasks

-Administers timely and accurate documentation for project-related activities including change orders, time and materials, purchase orders, daily job control reports and receiving slips/invoices. -Follows the Allan Myers Safety Program including preplanning to identify conditions and exposures, proper safety and personal protective equipment and accident investigation and reporting. -Can install miscellaneous metals and tankage/equipment. -Supervises hourly crewmembers and plans/schedules manpower and equipment as needed. -Provides on the job training to crewmembers for assigned tasks. -Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for mechanical crew assign work activities, projects, and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures; meet with crew and project team to identify and resolve problems. -Communicates performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to crews and ensures progress towards expectations. -Manages deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, scheduling compliance and customer satisfaction. -Coordinates and collaborates with other Field Managers, Superintendents, and the customer to implement successful project plans.

What You Bring

-OSHA 10 hour required. -Experience working with mechanical pipe systems and equipment including DIP, SS, PVC, CPVC, Fiberglass, HDPE, Copper, and Steel. -Valid driver’s license required. -Minimum 2 years of construction experience in at least one trade discipline (i.e., excavation, pipe, concrete, or paving) with one or more years construction supervisory experience preferred. -5 years of progressively responsible experience working at a Industrial or wastewater treatment plant, preferably Heavy Civil. -Expected to solve through experienced judgment most problems of detail or unusual situations by adapting methods or interpreting instructions to resolve the particular problem. -High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required (continuing education in construction highly desirable). -Experienced in large bore and small bore process piping systems. Including flanged joint, restrained joint, welded and threaded applications. -Understands the mechanics for sewage pumping stations and treatment plants, bridges, culverts, water distribution, treatment systems and chemical feed dosage. Ability to read pipe layout drawings, Pipe schematics, perform layout, groove and thread pipe, set mechanical equipment including pumps, process skids, and WT/WWT equipment. -5 Years of Mechanical foreman experience on WTP/WWTP projects. -Demonstrates technical proficiency in multiple aspects of one of the following work processes:
