Leasing Specialist

Overview

Generate leads, tour, lease apartments, handle paperwork, provide customer service.

Tasks

-Inspect units for move-ins to ensure units are ready and prepare move in packets for new residents. -Prepare move-in / move-out notices, inspections, or procedures. -Prepare service requests. -Prepare and submit resident application materials for approval. -Follow up with prospects after viewing homes or submitting applications. -Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios and work to achieve and exceed budgeted occupancy percentages. -Greet visitors (residents, future residents, and internal team members) and deliver high quality customer service. -Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data. Assist with other computer data entry as necessary. -Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls, schedule appointments, conduct property tours, and promote community features. -Collect application fees, deposits, and rent. -Assist with planning and hosting of resident functions and special events.

-Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. -Ability to multitask and able to switch between tasks with frequent interruptions throughout the day. -High School Diploma. -Ability to be prompt and timely daily. -Must demonstrate tact and diplomacy. -Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office. -Sales skills. -Respectful of the boundaries of confidentiality, fair housing laws, and safety. -Minimum of one (1) year of customer service/sales experience. -Working knowledge of property management software such as Onesite. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Professional appearance.
