Overview

Tasks

-Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations. -Coordination with Project Management, Production, Customers and Third Party Surveyors as required. -Responsible for conducting quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract specific requirements. -Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Reports. -Set up and perform NDT test procedures. -Provide factual, comprehensive data and draft reports for customers addressing NDT inspection criteria completely. -Interpret specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria. -Review and Certification of Final Documentation for Customers.

What You Bring

-Visual Examination (VT) -Current AWS CWI - plus -Previous Level II Certification to ASNT-TC-1A including documented objective evidence of classroom and on the job training experience. -Must be qualified and certified to ASNT-TC-1A in one or more of the following NDT Methods that will be utilized: -Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified, and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees. -Ultrasonic (Thickness & Shearwave) -HS diploma or equivalent -Ultrasonic Testing (UT) -Work independently and support team members -Magnetic Particle (combination of Dry Method & Wet Method) -Liquid Penetrant (PT) -Demonstrated proficiency performance as a minimum NDT Level I / II, and minimum 600 logged hours in any one (1) of the following areas: -Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems -Magnetic Particle (MT) -Dye Penetrant (combination of Type I and Type II)
