Tasks
-Support management of FAT area including organization and cleanliness -Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) including setup and tear down -Generate site commissioning documentation -Gather parts, tools, and equipment, verify quality and accuracy of components and ship to appropriate venue. -Arrange for his/her own travel utilizing Concur, according to G&W policies -Commission, test, and troubleshoot automated switchgear -Install site specific relay and PLC programs -Perform physical inspection of switchgear and controls -Work in conjunction with AMS technicians and Automation Engineers -Arrange for return & disposition of parts, tools and equipment to the factory after service -Complete trip report and follow up action items -Research job requirements and methods. Plans for alternative solutions and unexpected obstacles. -Conduct and document job safety briefing with customer and/or contractor as needed -Assist in keeping inventory of assets owned by the Power Grid Automation team and those temporarily in the space

What You Bring
-Proficiency in MS Office -5 + years’ progressive hands-on experience in field service, sales or G&W product -The ability to travel wherever needed, possibly on short notice and weekends. Travel will be required up to 50% of the time. -An Associates’ degree in Electronics or equivalent experience -Functional control and switchgear testing -Experience with SharePoint, Salesforce and JDE software programs -Demonstrated ability to prioritize and reassess as necessary -First responder, CPR certification and field service electrical certification required once in the role. -Highly effective communication skills -Basic troubleshooting of switchgear, wiring, program and communication issues; escalate internally when necessary
