The Role

Overview

Erect, maintain and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.

Tasks

-Acquire, maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements. -Maintain in good working order issued vehicles, tools and equipment -To mentor other team members. -A key part of an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required. -To highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager. -Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom and its customers. -To ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules. -Maintain site safety at all times. -Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Freedom’s operations. -Maintain awareness of and conform to Freedom’s SHEQ policy and issued safety instructions. -To construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV. -Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards. -To partake in the risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your Chargehand. -Report any concerns regarding SHEQ to the SHEQ team and your manager. -To lead by example and safely undertake works as directed. -Complete all work to high standards.

What You Bring

-People with a full driving licence -People with IPAF accreditation – Training can be given -To work safely at all times and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements. -Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments. -Driving licence with C1+E category -NRSWA Operative -NPTC Chainsaw qualification -People who can interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner. -City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322) -People with experience as a linesman. -People with experience (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Working)
