Tasks
-Prepare reports and dashboards on subcontractor risk exposure and SDI program metrics for senior leadership. -Support the resolution of claims by preparing summaries, timelines, and relevant documentation. -Take ownership of managing the subcontractor prequalification process. -Administer the Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) program, including enrollment, claims support, and compliance tracking. -Track and monitor subcontractor claims throughout the project lifecycle. -Maintain organized documentation of all claims, correspondence, and resolution actions. -Support project teams in managing subcontractor performance issues and implementing corrective actions. -Develop and refine prequalification criteria and scoring models to align with company risk tolerance and project requirements. -Review and analyze subcontractor prequalification submissions including financial statements, safety records, insurance certificates, bonding capacity, and project history. -Collaborate with project teams to ensure only qualified subcontractors are considered for bidding and contract awards. -Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations in claims handling. -Coordinate with legal, project management, and subcontractor teams to assess and resolve claims. -Monitor subcontractor performance and financial health to identify early warning signs of potential default. -Maintain and update the subcontractor database with current qualification statuses and documentation. -Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans for subcontractors based on predetermined criteria. -Conduct due diligence and background checks on new subcontractors.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field. -Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and risk indicators. -3+ years of experience in subcontractor prequalification, construction risk management, or related roles. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. -Familiarity with SDI programs (e.g., Zurich, Liberty Mutual) and subcontractor risk mitigation strategies. -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, risk management software, and construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, CMiC). -Knowledge of construction law, insurance requirements, and bonding practices a plus. -Experience working for a General Contractor or in a construction risk consulting role a plus. -Certification in Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) or similar is a plus.
