Tasks

The Tendering Engineer will manage the end-to-end tendering process for both design and operational projects. The role combines technical, commercial, and business development responsibilities — ideal for a confident, commercially aware individual capable of representing DAC Power to clients and industry stakeholders. Engage proactively with the supply chain to secure competitive and compliant quotations. Report on bid progress, outcomes, and pipeline performance to senior management. Represent DAC Power during client meetings, tender clarifications, and negotiations. Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of bids, proposals, and tender responses. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a Tendering Engineer to lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders, manage client relationships, and support business growth. Support Business Development activities through client engagement and market intelligence. Lead bids for key frameworks and project opportunities across design and operations. Collaborate with internal teams (Technical, Commercial, SHESQ) to deliver high-quality submissions. Manage and mentor the Bid Administrator to ensure smooth delivery of tendering activities. Review, baseline, and maintain DAC Power’s rate library to ensure competitiveness.

What You Bring

Familiarity with NEC contracts and framework tendering advantageous. Commercially astute with the ability to develop competitive bids and manage costs. Strong technical awareness and ability to interface with engineering teams. Demonstrable record of leading successful bids and framework submissions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Organised and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously. Experience in supplier engagement and commercial negotiations. Ability to lead and develop a small team. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with online tender portals. Proven experience in tendering, proposals, or bid management within the energy/utilities sector. Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (desirable). Strong understanding of tendering within engineering, utilities, or energy sectors.
