Tasks
We’re seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to lead our Solvent Adhesives department at our Stafford site. With responsibility for a team of 30 and an operating budget of €1.5 million, this role is pivotal in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production within a complex chemical manufacturing environment. -Lead cultural and behavioural change initiatives to embed safety-first thinking -Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations -Ensure training and compliance with HSE, quality, and operational procedures -Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to maximise throughput and asset efficiency -Support CAPEX planning and manage minor projects -Minimise waste and enhance process reliability -Lead, coach, and develop a team of 30 staff -Maintain visibility on the shop floor and engage regularly with staff and contractors -Ensure adherence to environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations -Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and internal reviews -Champion health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations -Manage production schedules and optimise resource allocation -Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities -Organise and oversee daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets

What You Bring
You’ll be accountable for delivering operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a strong safety culture. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strategic thinking, strong team development skills, and cross-functional collaboration. -Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (with strong chemical industry experience) -NEBOSH Certificate or strong understanding of HSE regulations preferred -Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills -Fluent in English and willing to travel as required -Proven leadership in manufacturing environments -Minimum 5 years’ experience in production management, ideally within a chemical plant -Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and asset utilisation
