Tasks

-When GF/FM is assigned, ensure they understand the plan -Identify prefab opportunities and communicate with Prefab Manager -Train new crews of prefab means and methods -Visit jobsites and ensure the field understands the intent of prefab and how to install it. -Prioritize tasks to be done and use a six week schedule to manage workload -Review any install drawings you do for the field with GF/Foreman and Design Team -Communicate regularly with the PM and Field and ensure company standards are shared and followed. They are your customer. -Seek feedback from the field on ways to improve and incorporate constructive feedback into new projects and processes -Use common tool sets (ex. assemblies) to get field install drawings more consistent -Utilize model in software to create a Bill of Material -Independently design multiple projects -Review project with Project Manager and ensure you understand how project was estimated including workforce hours, the schedule, the specs, all drawings, and the submittals -Develop the most effective way to build our projects -Attend project Coordination meetings and represent Gaston as the technical expert -Be Accountable (take ownership of your role) and hold others accountable to ensure we avoid unnecessary delays or issues on projects

What You Bring

-Thorough understanding of Electrical, Fire Alarm, Low Voltage systems and their field/prefab/coordination constructability -Able to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment but has a desire to lead. -Previous electrical design experience or 8-10 years commercial electrical field experience -Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects -Comfortable using and learning new technology: MS Office (required), Bluebeam (preferred), Navisworks (not required), MS Teams (internal communication tool) (not required) -Strong attention to detail and accuracy -Proactive and likes to think critically to solve problems; analytical -Able to layout electrical systems. -Work towards “On Time Deliveries” -Able to communicate confidently, effectively and professionally – verbal and written -Familiar with all electrical systems
