The Role
Overview
Manage delivery of major power transmission projects in Essex/Kent
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Produce plans for the team to achieve goals/aspirations -Hold periodic project reviews and update the Digital Briefcase -Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management. -Management of teams to ensure works are deliverable -Communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders -Develop H&S plan and ensure it is treated as a live document -Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be made which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall business strategy -Lead Accident/Incident Investigations -Monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement actions -Ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce -Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety initiatives -Ensure the team maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.) -Review RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS -Accountable for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chain -Prepare and present both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders -Sponsor and promote project diversity and inclusion -Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislation

What You Bring
-Experience in implementing safe systems of work -Ability to see the business vision and inspire this shared vision amongst the team -ompetitive - DOE -Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the team where required -Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation -Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics -Record of a solution-based approach to problem solving -Aptitude and ability to understand technical answers / explanations -Discuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence -Proficient on O365 -In depth understanding and practical experience of standard forms of contracts -Proficient in commercial/project management communications -Recognise and drive personal development with a learning mindset -Holds a current driving licence -Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery -Member of a professional management body i.e. APM -Ability to interrogate designs and challenge inputs and deliverables -Experience of working on a variety of project types
